Villa Lagarina<\/h2>\n

Natural center of the right of the Adige, the town is characterized by the presence of several historic residences. The noble families determined its imprint as an elite Baroque residential center, making its current historic center one of the most characteristic of Trentino. In addition to the 17th century Palazzo Guerrieri Gonzaga<\/strong>, seat of our park, the Archpriest Church of S. Maria Assunta (in the photo) is one of the most notable Baroque monuments in Trentino, already mentioned at the end of the 12th century. Palazzo Libera, built in the seventeenth century by the Gasperini family, houses the Diocesan Museum<\/strong> where paintings, engravings and wallpapers from the 16th to the 18th century are housed and in the garden the sculpture La Madre by Aldalberto Libera, a native of Villa Lagarina. The 16th century Palazzo Camelli<\/strong> is the seat of the Municipal Library. Palazzo Madernini and Palazzo Marzani frame the picturesque Piazza Riolfatti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rovereto<\/h2>\n

Rovereto has been an important industrial, tourist and cultural center of Trentino since the eighteenth century, when it was awarded the title of “Athens of Trentino”. It is often called the City of the oak (oak, also called “Rovere”, is the symbol of the city, also present in the city coat of arms) or City of Peace, referring to the presence of the Bell of the Fallen, a work in memory of the fallen of all wars.<\/p>\n

MART<\/h2>\n

Opened in 2002, it is the largest contemporary art museum built in Italy throughout the twentieth century. The structure, designed by the Ticino architect Mario Botta, is in itself of great appeal with the facade consisting of the two eighteenth-century palaces Alberti and Dell\u2019Annona and the large dome that opens once you enter to form a real square. The structure also houses the civic library and the Fausto Melotti auditorium.<\/p>\n

Museo Civico<\/h2>\n

Located in the central Palazzo Parolari, one of the oldest Italian museums: it was founded in 1851, 10 years before the unification of Italy. In 2008, the new exhibition was inaugurated with the zoology (Birds and Mammals), numismatics and archeology (Prehistory, Roman times and Ancient Greece) rooms, in particular with the precious collection donated by the archaeologist Paolo Orsi. An important detached section of the Museum is the Astronomical Observatory located on Monte Zugna.<\/p>\n

Casa futurista Depero<\/h2>\n

Reopened on January 17, 2009 on the occasion of the centenary of the Futurist movement, it welcomes the artist’s most representative works such as paintings, sculptures and more. Almost all the furniture has remained the original one, such as the wooden benches. The building was renovated and the works made it possible to secure the Fortunato Depero Museum Gallery, opened to the public in 1959 and set up by Depero himself a year before his death (1960).<\/span><\/p>\n
